Magic Black: Dolce & Gabbana SS05 to FW08 *this ain’t black magic! ;p*

me, holding the Magic Black clutch pop-up book
*Hedi Slimane, is dat chu? :)*

I finished constructing this book days ago(during college break) but had no one to help me with the video recording at home. So, thanks to S(the anonymous person in the video) for helping me with the flipping as soon as I got back to college.

This one is definitely more detailed than the previous ones, which cost me my babies(I mean, magazines). Much smaller figures which I had to double-cut and double-glue. Yes, they almost gave me arthritis! Love how it sounds, 'arthritis', reminds me of Madame Pouzieux, the amazing lady who’s been making braids for Chanel Couture for decades. Some parts of this book was done at three in the morning, so, you might probably notice that David Gandy’s abs seem to have extra pack and Marios Lekkas looks as if he’s about to lose his head. ;p

That said, I’m pretty happy with the completion of this pop-up book, though it didn’t really turn out quite as what I had planned it to be. Had to do some adjustments and alterations which was sickening. But cool thing was that my mom kept checking on me after she saw me carrying a packet of five UHU glue sticks, she thought I was glue sniffing. :) Love ya, mom!

This pop-up book covers Dolce&Gabbana and D&G collection from spring/summer 2005 to fall/winter 2008. Minus fall 2005 because I only manage to own a couple of fashion magazines from that season which happen to not cover Dolce & Gabbana menswear collection. I must be super-duper broke in fall 2005. Did check out vintage magazine stores, no luck. I’ll find some other free time to cover the following seasons(spring 2009 onwards) though.

Enjoy!
